November Wrap-Up + Updates

November Wrap-up + Updates(1)

November went by fast. It’s super odd that it’s now December. Wasn’t it just November 1st? Weren’t we just anticipating Thanksgiving? Wow….

Nanowrimo: I wish I could tell you all that I finished 50k words and am on my way to the next draft/editing. Life just didn’t happen that way. I only got around 2k words done and had barely written anything this month. I don’t think I was up to writing this month because I did get discouraged and all that stuff. I don’t know how people do it…. thousands of words in a day when I can barely fit a hundred in. It’s so hard figuring out how to say something.

A friend and I exchanged “packages” in real life for Nanowrimo, meant as an encouragement. It did encourage me, and I wrote at least 300 words.

Life:Β On Nov. 13, I saw Murder on the Orient Express with my sister and my mom for mom’s birthday (Did that make sense? πŸ˜› ). I loved the movie and it was way cleaner than I expected it to be. I am a fan of Hercule Poirot now!Β  Totally was worth it watching the movie! I need to read the book now….. *puts a hold on the book from the library*
I also have a video-game for the Xbox that starsΒ Hercule Poirot and I should play that again. (It was a bit difficult figuring out what to do.)

Thanksgiving was full of yummy food and spending time with my cousins. I’ll admit it wasn’t the same as being with my grandparents in California, but it was great in other ways. I made some banana chocolate chip muffins for dessert, which I will admit is an odd idea for dessert, but I love them! I did plan to make pumpkin pie, but I didn’t have the ingredients that I needed and my mom couldn’t pick them up in time.

My brother’s birthday happened on the 24th and now he is 11! Wow. I remember when he just turned 9. Man, time flies by and so does life. :/

October Book Haul(4)

I had planned on posting in November about my October book haul, but that didn’t happen. *glares at the little thing called life*

So, I just decided to combine October and November’s book hauls. πŸ™‚

Ones I have not started yet are Smart Women Read Between the Lines (This is a book
I can sue to keep track of what books I’ve read), Forbidden Road, A King’s Daughter and Other Stories for Girls, Mystery at Smokey Mountain, The Duck Commander Family, Out of the Ordinary, Terror in the Sky, Wait for Me, Tethered, Ida Early Over the Mountain, The Reluctant Godfather, Renegades, and Happy, Happy, Happy. Hopefully I listed all of them…

I’ve read Lady Jayne Disappears, Kristian’s War, Where We Belong, (barely read) Paradox Bound, and Dangerous Illusions. (Links of boosk I’ve read lead to my book review blog.)

December Goals:

I deeply thought of some goals at 1AM when I couldn’t sleep for me to accomplish in December. Obvious goals include updating Purely by Faith more often.

Life Goals:

1.) Go to sleep earlier. By the end of the first week of December, be in bed by 12AM. For the second/third week, be in bed by 11PM. By the end of December, be in bed by 10PM.

2.) On InstaGC, earn 30 dollars. (A dollar a day. πŸ™‚ )

3.) Study and do better in my math, especially for tests!

4.) Keep to my school-work schedule.

5.) Limit my video-game playing time. Hopefully have it at the maximum of one hour a day.

6.) Eat less junk food, especially chocolate.

Writing and Reading Goals:

1.) Finish at least two books I got in exchange for a review in my email.

2.) Read three books on my TBR list on Goodreads.

3.) Read the whole book of Proverbs. (Being the weirdo I am, I haven’t started it yet and keep forgetting. πŸ˜› )

4.) Write! Work on my Nano story and get at least 10K words done.

5.) Read at least two books on my bookshelf.

I’m not sure if any of you noticed, because some of you read posts with the WordPress Reader, but I changed my headers and all to Christmas. πŸ™‚

I’m going to try hard to be more active on here. πŸ˜€

How was your November? Did you participate in Nanowrimo? Are you excited for Christmas?

And I'm looking forward to seeing more posts on here. πŸ™‚
Hey, question: can I call you by your real name in the comments? It's hard for me to remember sometimes to call you Crystal. πŸ˜›
